CAMERA MOVEMENT AND EDITING

 1) 3 aspects of camera movement: The director used the track/dolly camera movement to let the audiences know that the action is on a fast moving sequence, and to also show a clear movement of the running action and chases so that the audience can feel the intense towards the scene. The director also used the pan camera movement to show that the characters are all in the same setting and to let the audience feel that that scene is realistic. In addition the director also used the pan camera movement to show that the character focused their attention to the other character which shows their relationship for each other as she said to the other character to calm down. The director used the handheld camera movement to show that the scene is an action of urgency as the camera is all shaky and shows the action of the character is in the same pace as the camera. This effects to the audience that they are on same point of view as the character and feel that fierce feeling that would make them

LEARNER'S RESPONSE

1.Go back to the film poster task and use what we have learned on mise-en-scene (CLAMPS) to add a new paragraph in green font so I can see the changes you have made. Consider 'props' and 'lighting' and colour schemes and their connotations. Use the media glossary and GLO words in our books to add more media terminology such as 'reinforce' and 'emphasise' and 'consumer'.  The costume of both of the character shows that they are both wearing swimsuits which connotes that they might have been on a vacation. The lighting shows low key lighting which suggests that the setting is dark and the genre is horror film. The actors expressions looks terrified which suggests that they might have seen something that terrifies them. The make up shows that they are a bit pale which connotes that they have been under water for long. The props shows that there are sharks everywhere which connotes that there might be violence on the film. The sharks are convention

BLOG TASK: CAMERA SHOTS & ANGLES

1.) The camera shots: The Medium shot at 0.50secs shows that the two characters are clearly visible on the screen and it also clearly shows the setting. There are loads of things in the setting which connotes that they have too many problems and it such a hassle for them as it also shows in their expression that they look determined and confused at the same time. This conveys the audience that there are loads of things that the two characters have been doing as there are plenty of random things in the setting. The Close up shot at 1.40 shows the girl's expression that she looks like she is concerned and there's not much to see at the setting for it is blurred. This coveys the audience to focus on the girl's expression as she said that nor her, that she can't find the guy that they were looking for as even she's there first.  The Over the shoulder shot at 1.54 shows that there are two characters talking about the signal about combining forces which is the doctor'

MISE-EN-SCENE: STRANGER THINGS ANALYSIS

STRANGER THINGS: Lighting: The lighting shows low key as the atmosphere looks very cold and also shows darkness which connotes that there might be something that is violence as the  lights are flickering which is creepy and mysterious. It also connotes that the genre of the film is horror.  Movement: The characters movement such as running suggests that he might be running away from something that made him panic or frightened. The movement of the kid looks like he knows what to do as he tried to find his family members and he also tried to call someone.  Props: The props that they used were gun and a phone, the gun suggests that the boy was prepared as he quickly went to a storage looking place. Also he loads the gun as if actually knows what he was doing, he also knows where the bullets are which again shows that he is prepared if anything like this happens.  Extension: Costume: The costume shows that they wore casual clothes which suggests that when they went to each others house it

A3 SHEET

Iron Man 3:  I think this text encourages people to watch this film as this film is full of science fiction that is not actually happening in the present right not.     Costume I can see that the costume of both of the character is modern the costume of the man looks smart and fancy which suggests that he might be working on a high class. The costume of the girl looks kind of simple which suggests that she might have a simple job and a simple life compared to the man. Lighting       The lighting shows bright lights such as fire, laser, and some electric sparks which suggests that the two characters had just been on a fight as there is a fire. Actors The actor's facial expression looks confident and calm which suggests that he might be the hero of the film while the girl looks like she's tired and beaten up whish suggests that she might've fought someone that made her exhausted or collapsed.
