They present him this way to show his importance and how the main story links to his story that he is going back to the BBC, which also shows how they are more in favour with Gary Lineker.

The different people, groups and organisations are represented in the Daily Mirror as soft-news like Sugar where they reinforce the stereotypes of the Labour party where their news are less serious and have more gossips on it. However, there are parts about the chairman where the news talks about business and about how much the chairman has earned. This subverts the streotypes of the Daily Mirror as the information about the chairman is more on the Conservative party.
